U3A in Burntwood
A NEW U3A IS COMING TO BURNTWOOD ON THURSDAY MAY 21st
A TIME OF CREATIVITY AND FULFILMENT
JUST COME ALONG AND FIND OUT MORE
Do you like forming new friendships and developing new interests? Do you like sharing your knowledge and experience with others? Would you like to benefit from others’ knowledge and experience? If so then perhaps a new U3A in Burntwood could be just the thing for you. Although it is called the University of the Third Age, anyone can join, there are no age limits. No qualifications are necessary, and none are given. It is open to anyone who is no longer in full time employment.
The Third Age refers to the period of time after the First Age of childhood dependency and the Second Age of full time employment and parental responsibility.
U3A is a group of people joining together for creativity, fulfilment and friendship.
U3As are run by the members for the members and activities are far-ranging and varied with the members as a resource. Some interest groups will be based upon a member’s knowledge or enthusiasm, some based upon joint “ignorance” but a desire to know more! Antiques to Zumba, it’s all possible.
If you would like to know more, and would like to have a U3A in Burntwood, come along to the launch meeting to be held at:
Burntwood Library, Sankeys Corner
On Thursday 21st May
At 2.00 pm
If you cannot attend but would like to find out more please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07927690375
